The Skeleton of the Sentence: The main bare-bones idea.
The core meaning of a sentence is communicated in a few key words.

The Skeleton:
Subject - Verb - (Indirect Object) - Direct Object

The subject and verb may be compound.
The sentence may not have a direct object.
Even more rarely will a sentence have an indirect object.

It is helpful to be able to pick out each of these elements in every sentence.
Hint: It is easiest to find these element in this order: Verb, Subject, D.O., and I.O. using the questions and techniques already discussed.

Find each of these elements in the following sentences.

First, find the verb in the following sentence.
Good, now find the subject of the sentence.
Good, now find the direct object.
Good, now try a different sentence.
